Sometimes, having a healthy mindset is easier said than done. Luckily, there are a few actionable tips you can incorporate into your daily routines to start living more positively.

Meditate
Meditation has been practiced for centuries as a method for mindfulness and relaxation. There are many types of meditation, so it can seem daunting to get started. I recommend trying this 5-minute meditation video to start your morning. You might find that you are able to tackle the day's tasks with a more relaxed and calm mindset!
Keep a journal
Journals are great for practicing mindfulness and processing your day. While meditation is a great way to start your day, journaling is a great way to end it. A journal is a personal space, so I won't tell you what you should write about, but here are some ideas:
Goals and aspirations for the day, week, month, year, etc
A list of what you accomplished and what you'd like to accomplish tomorrow
Explore one topic and write about it
Write about a challenging encounter or situation
Drink water
Did you know that most Americans are dehydrated and don't even know it? The average American consumes less than the recommended daily water intake for their age, weight, and height. You might find that keeping up your water intake will make you look and feel healthier and more mindful.
Treat yourself
Self-care has recently become more popular thanks to shows like Parks and Rec, but it's more than just pedicures and shopping sprees. Self-care starts from within, so do what makes you feel happy! That could be simply going for a walk or calling a friend. Remember that self-care doesn't have to cost money.
